    Hi

Iam considering trading my yamaha 5590 for HK 525 or 325. I went thru the 325 manual, but could not find answers to the following questions i have.
I know 525/325 have 192 khz DACs. So

    1) Does 525/325 decode DTS 96/24 inputs? (5590 does not)

    2) For an input signal with encoding rate greater than 48 khz, does 525 produce multi-channel outputs? (the yammie, only produces 2 channel stereo output for multi-channel digital input signals greater than 48 khz)

    3) When using zone 2 pre-outs, the yamaha has a restriction that it can only switch sources connected to the analog inputs. Is this true for HKs too?

    Thanks

I've got a AVR-325 from Onecall. It was a refurb but I swear it is new. Best 399 I've ever spent. I can't answer those questions, but if you call harman kardon, they can. Their tech people are really helpful and speak english well. It's decoded 96 DTS signals from my computer (SB Audigy) so I think it would.
