I have the default sound mode set to Dolby Digital via the onscreen display. Yet when I am flipping through the channels, most come up in Dolby neo 7 and I have to switch since I like the way the Neo 6 sounds. Why doesnt the default work?

    ???

Dolby makes Pro Logic, Pro Logic II, IIx
    DTS makes Neo:6
    Harman International makes Logic:7

Which are you referring to? Logic:7 ??

    Thanks!

If you're talking about flipping through TV channels then you cannot be in dolby digital because cable TV (if that is indeed what you have) is an analog source. The receiver switches to Neo:6, Logic 7 or DPLII because they digitally process the 2 channel analog input from your TV and simulate a 5.1 or 7.1 surround.
