    hi guys,
I just got a refurb hk 435 from harman audio and I ran the auto ezset/eq. when it was finished it had all my speakers set as large and the xovers at 40hz. it had my sub set as sub plus fronts and had the sub set to -10 and at like 12 feet away when it is on 5', anyone have any experence with this unit I have to be setting it up wrong, I'm useing klipsch sf-3 for fronts, sf-1 for rears, def tech c-1 for the center and a mk v-1b for the sub. please help me.

    Hi Joe,

You can set the speaker size and x-over manually and have ezset/eq use those settings. Also, over at avsforum (I don't have the particular post), I remember some tips about using -28 on the volume dial, rather than -35 as the manual says, keeping the mic at ear level for far field and at 2 ft. for near field. When ezset's done you can go and adjust the delay, speaker levels, etc. a bit more manually.

Oh, if you haven't updated the software on your 435, it would be a good idea to do that first.

I've done all the above with my 435 and have been pretty happy. [IMG]
