I am looking to purchase a "budget" HT receiver. I am running Klipsch Reference series all the way around, entry level reference, with a 10" HSU sub. I need a receiver that has component video switching for my upconverting DVD player as well as a Comcast HD box. I have heard the Denon play the speakers I am set up with, and am happy with the sound. The Denon also has a higher power rating per channel vs the H/K. Are there any reasons as to why I should pick the HK over the Denon, considering I can get both units for the same price. Any input would be greatly appeciated!

Some of the reasons could be that if you like the sound, the look, and the specified "all channel driven" power of the 230. I think you will find that the 1705 may have higher 1 & 2 channel output while the 230 may have a slight edge in all channel driven output.
