HK 525 control Pioneer PD-F407 CD Changer (1 Viewer)

I have a HK AVR525 and am trying to gain control of my old Pioneer PD-F407 25 disk cd changer.

I don't see any remote ir pickup on the Pioneer and didn't get a remote with it.

It has a remote in feed on the back, my HK has a remote output on the back as well.

I hooked them together, but no dice.

Any idea how I might get some control over the player? At least Play, Pause, Stop, Skip.

Isn't there codes in the back of your HK manual for Pioneer at least. What I did for my HK 500 for the Pioneer 414 DVD player is use one of the Codes I think it was 020 and it works the player, the only thing is that the keys that work the various functions are not representative of the that function ie.. M4 on the HK remote gives me a list of chapters via the 414 etc. If the codes are not there, then maybe go to HK website and pulldown a(PDF) version of one of the older models' manual.

Does your CD player have a IR/REMOTE sensor on it? Mine doesn't, when I press skip my DVD button lites up on the HK remote....

Any way to be sure signals are going out the REMOTE OUTPUT jack?

Thanks - I'll look for more codes, tried most of the ones listed in the manual already.
