HK 220 or HK 500 (1 Viewer)

I was wondering which receiver I should get as both will come out to about the same price. The 500 will give me more power according to the specs but it is an older model and I dont know if i'll be nissing out on newer important technology.

My HT setup will consist of Axiom audio M3ti L and R and a VP100 center with QS4 surrounds.

My room is about 170 sq feet.

Which do you thing would be a better option?

I have heard and read rumors about bad quality problems with the models before x20. Just rumors, but I seriously doubt the 220 would be underpowered for you. The 225 was just released, with a wattage upgrade.

or, if you want to buy used...i am selling a 320 in the hardware for sale/trade forum...

I just purchased a HK 220 for $220 on ebay. Ok now i'm officialy on my way!
