As soon as I heard Criterion was releasing
    versions of Rebecca, Notorious, Spellbound,
and The Paradine Case I immediately
sent off my Anchor Bay releases of these Hitchcock films
    to eBay.
Now there is no sign of a Criterion release of
    Hitchcock's The Paradine Case.
    Anyone have any info?
While it is not Hitch's best work, I would certainly
love a Criterion version over the Anchor Bay one.

The Anchor Bay disc is quite nice looking and would be tough to beat. There is no word either official or rumored on a Criterion release. I don't especially like this film, but there is certainly nothing wrong with Anchor Bay's DVD of it.

I asked at the Criterion chat about any other Hitchcocks, aside from Spellbound, and the only one they mentioned was Rebecca.
I don't think this is considered a "classic" like the other three Anchor Bay's, so I'm guessing they are not planning on releasing it. Ofcourse, as soon as you or I buy it, they will. [IMG]

Nothing has been announced about THE PARADINE CASE. Did Criterion do a laser on that one?
No, they didn't, and I doubt if we'll see a DVD. Hopefully we *will* see some of Hitchcock's British films from Criterion. I'd love to see a really good presentation of THE MAN WHO KNEW TOO MUCH.

I'd love to see Secret Agent and Young and Innocent nicely restored, too...
