The Hitachi Home-1 is being offered at project people dot com for $1299 which includes free dvd/vcr player. They jsut dropped the price $100. I am thinking about getting this one. It is 16:9 native ratio, 800 lumens, and 854x480 resolution. Is it worth $600 to bump up to Pany 500 or the X2? Does anyone have the Hitachi that can tell if they like it?

Joey MR are you saying that the 4805 will be for office use????? As EVERYTHING I have read about it from the manufacturer and several websites have said that the 4805 was designed to be a home theater projector as compared to the X1. I can get the articles for you if you'd like...

Or are you refering to a different projector??

Dean, I think he's saying the X2 is for office use and the 4805, which replaces the X1, will be for home theater

It is worth adding the $500 and getting the Panny 500 in my opinion if only to get the extra resolution and reduced pixel structure.
