Don't know if your price is too high, but I can say there are a lot of very nice NEW dlp options at the $3000 mark. Then again, a lot of people prefer lcd due to rainbows and dithering with dlps.

i dunno, they both have their advantages, plus the 2300 lumens makes the picture really crisp

It is in MINT condition, i would give it 10/10. The only thing is that i lost the remote control somewhere, i can't seem to find it, but i think you can get one for like $60 from hitachi, but you don't really need it, you can go through everything(Menu) through the buttons on top of the pj. It has been really fun though having this projector, people tell me that watching movies in my house in nicer than in movie theaters! You can read up some more here: http://hitachiserviceusa.com/ftproot...es9catalog.pdf It has many nice features like: hdtv ready (1080i, 720p), noise reduction system, motion adaptive progressive scan, black level enhancer, 3/2 pull down system ( can switch between 16:9 and 4:3), and has even dvi input for future new hdtv. Right now i have it set up with a 120" image, all i can say is WOOW! The 2300-2500 lumens make it even look nice with the lights on.
