After watching the wealth of info in these forums for many months I have finally decided to post. I recently purchased a Hitachi 43UWX10B and would like to get the most out of it short of having it calibrated. (too much $$) Unless the picture quality change is drastic. Will a calibration void the warranty? The set was at the Sears outlet for $1549 plus $485 for a 5 year warranty. I have 30 days to rethink my purchase. Phillips offers the same warranty for $300. Is there a better set out there for the same $$? Also the protective screen has much glare. Are they easy to remove? Thanks for any advice.

I just got the same set ,$1188 @ CC.Im getting a "mighty shield" put on it next week,What kind of protector do you have on it? Non-glare or clear??
