Bah! None in the Iowa City location...a whole stack of the regular version, though.

I'll run up to my local one and see what they have in stock. If they've got some, I'll pick a couple up and be a nice guy to some people here [IMG]

Kyle, if you get any extras let me know, I'd be interested in your generosity.

PS None at the Santa Clara Kmart either.

Yeppers, went to the Santa Clara store (used the self checkout stand) and no dice. Oh well, it was worth a try.

Went to two different K-Marts, both "Home Entertainment Department" managers informed me they did not recieve any of the Immortal editions. All I could find were the regular editions. And to top it all off, the Best Buy a couple cities away sold all 6 Criterion Rushmores I spotted yesterday for $14.99. Too bad I didn't have my wallet with me then.

Is Highlander still on sale this week at Kmart and Best Buy? If not what will the prices be. Did the Kmart sale end yesterday?

Bob, you found one at the SC store? I looked in all the cases and displays I could find, but never saw a Immortal Edition, lots of the regulars.

Jeff, they had one copy that I had to ask for. They dug it out from the back room. I guess they put it back on the shelf and someone bought it.

I was able to get what I assume is the regular edition for $9.99 in Latham, NY K-Mart. They had five copies. The packaging says all new restored and digitally remastered. There is also a dtses logo on the disc. Is there a big difference between the two? Is this one worth ten bucks? A friend has the original DVD and he said it's deplorable. Is this one any better than that one?

    Dave,

The new version is much better picture-wise than the old version; of course, it wouldn't take much to do that. Your friend is right about the older release...utterly crappy picture. I'm very happy with the new release.

Went to two Kmarts on Monday, 4/22. The first one a non Super Kmart only had the regular verson for $10. So I picked it up.

The other one was a Super Kmart and they had two Immortals but they scanned at $24.99, so I passed.

    Deal must be over now.

    Also, I picked up:

    Supergirl LE $6.99

    La Bamba $9.99

    Soul Man $9.99

    Outbreak $9.99

So, it was a good trip anyways.

Saw the IE at CC today, packaging is really cool, but priced at 24.99 don't think it's worth the extra 15 bucks. But I'm sure they'll sell them to someone.
