I got a Scientific Atlanta HDTV cable box installed yesterday on my Toshiba Theaterwide 40" set (about 2 years old) and am experiencing some screen formating issues. When in HD colorstream mode, all my non HD channels display in standard format vs 16x9 and my full and widescreen modes are locked out. They work fine on my S-video standard input and my progressive DVD inputs. Also, when viewing HD channels some are widescreen completely filling the screen and others are a letterboxed wide screen using about 2/3s of my screen. I suspect this is dependent on what the channels are feeding as a HD signal.
Is this normal? Are there any controls on the SA box to change the default HD screen size to wide screen?
