I am preinstalling speaker wire for future rear surrounds and would like to know a low profile method of hiding the wires until I'm ready to use them. The wires will be for a wall-mounted pair of speakers so will be in the 5'-6' height range. I will not be using a wall box; when installed, the speakers will hide the wire.
Thanks.

If the wire is going behind sheetrock just take a picture with two tape measures showing where the wire is in relation to the ceiling/floor and an adjacent wall. The other thing is to make a drawing of the location (with measurements) before and then put a very small divet there after the sheetrock goes up. That way it won't be obvious but you know where to drill the hole when you need it. I'd do the divet as I'm terrible about losing things. I'm using the electrical outlet style covers with binding posts on them.
