If you have Windows, you can actually hide an mp3 within a GIF animation (or just one image) by using a simple command. All you need is Winamp and WinRAR

First, put the GIF and the mp3 (preferably, you want the combined size to be under 1 MB, so keep that in mind) in the same folder. The easiest is the desktop...

If you're going for files on your desktop, you do this:

    - Open the command prompt
    - type "cd desktop"
    - Then you can combine...
    "copy /B yourimage.gif+yoursound.mp3(or yourfile.zip) yournewfile.gif"

Using Winamp will always work for the mp3's...

Drag this GIF into Winamp and play it (you can copy the url and put it in "Open URL" too).

    Here's a ZIP example:

Save this to your HD as a zip and then extract it with WinRAR. (You'll need Windows Media Player to play the WMV).

I'm not sure I understand. How is this any better than simply changing songfilename.mp3 to songfilename.txt for storage/sharing/transfer?

Yeah, why exactly would you want to do this?
