I wanted to compile a list of DVD-A and SACDs that we want released.

This can be rumored title or artists and/or titles we want the labels to consider.

And if anyone knows anything about titles mentioned in this thread; feel free to post info about it.

    My MIA list:

    AC/DC
    Black Sabbath
    ZZ Top
Def Leppard (Pref: High N Dry, Pyromania, Hysteria)
    Rush
    Sarah Mclachlan
    Beatles
    Van Halen
    Tool
    Goo Goo Dolls
    Queens of the Stone Age
    Queensryche (Operation Mindcrime)

    What we need more of:
    Pink Floyd
    Led Zeppelin
    Disturbed
    Metallica (Early stuff)

You realize of course, that someone is going to post saying that these are all (with the exception of QotSA and Tool) geezer bands. You know that, right?

Of course, BEING a geezer myself (the ripe old age of 43) I think its a fine list.[IMG]

Among others, I would add Robin Trower to that list. Bridge of Sighes in hi-rez 5.1 would be a treat.

Actually Classic Records has a (24/96) DAD of Sarah McLachlan's "Touch" that is very good. I picked up a bunch of their DADs when they had them on sale.

If Spandau Ballet, Frankie Goes To Hollywood, Kenny G, and Air Supply can be on SACD already....

Why no Madonna, Duran Duran, and Culture Club?

    Lewis,

The soundtrack to Titanic was released by Sony on single-layer stereo SACD. Sony is set to reissue Titanic on January 20, 2004 on hybrid multi-channel SACD, according to Musictap.net.

As for early Genesis, their producer/engineer Nick Davis posted the following on December 9th at the Genesis website regarding the upcoming multi-channel SACD/DVD-A of "Lamb Lies Down On Broadway"....

Come on! No love for Dire Straits/Mark Knopfler on hi-rez??

    Danny,

Both Knopfler/Dire Straits and Supertramp would be great material for release as Hi-Resolution recordings.

I've commented on Supertramp more than once.

    Cheers,

Danny-I think the Invisible Touch rumor was a misunderstanding on a lot of people's part. I think it was in reference to the Live at Wembley (Invisible Touch tour) DVD that just came out.

But Genesis on Hi-Rez, especially the Lamb is number one on my list.

The 10 artists (LPs) I am most looking forward to owning on hi-rez are:

Beach Boys (Surf's Up, Sunflower, Friends, Endless Summer)

Frank Zappa (One Size Fits All, We're Only In It Fo The Money, Uncle Meat, Roxy)

Pink Floyd (Meddle, Atom heart Mother, Animals, Wish You Were Here)

The Who (Who Sell Out, Live at Leeds, Who's Next, Quadrophenia)

    Led Zeppelin (1, 2, 3, ZOSO)

Queens of the Stone Age (1st 3 LPs, b-sides collection and live album)

Monster Magnet (Dopes to Infinity, Spine of God, Greatest Hits)

Beatles (Sgt. Pepper, White album, Revolver, Rubber Soul, Help)

    Love (Forever Changes, Best of)

King Crimson (In the Court of the Crimson King, Wake of Poseidon)

Rush (2112, Moving Pictures, Signals, Different Stages, Exit Stage Left)
