This is a great film that deserves the proper SE. Any plans by Paramount to do so?

I'd eat up one of these too. Although you may be better off with a thread in studio feedback

You want an SE of The Truman Show? Just buy the current edition. Voila! An SE will be announced the next day. [IMG] Seriously though, I'd buy one!

Have I just had a large brain fart, or have Paramount *never* rereleased an already released regular catalog title as an SE?

They've announced SEs of all the Trek films, and those are all out.

Otherwise no, though I believe Mr. Blythe mentioned a possiblility of one.

I too recall not too long ago that Mr Blythe said The Truman Show was a possible title under consideration for a future SE treatment. That must have been last spring/summer now so who knows what became of the idea.

I for one would absolutely love to see a Special Edition, especially given the mass of deleted material that exists out there. A 16x9 transfer would be nice too!

I remember Martin saying that it was a favorite of his too, but that the director doesn't like to do special features.

The current DVD looks damn good for a non-anamorphic transfer.

While I enjoy this movie I'd rather see the effort put towards releases of stuff that's not on DVD at all than a re-release of something already out. I can't say I'd replace my current disc if they did as I think it's fine.
