Wishful thinking is nice but we need to keep at least one foot in reality here.

An anniversary edition of an obscure horse movie with no stars and no cult following? A box set of a child actress faded into obscurity?

Warners has yet to give us box sets of Troy Donahue and Diane McBain yet much less the likes of Spencer Tracy, Lana Turner, Glenn Ford and Natalie Wood! I suspect Snowfire and Sybil Jason aren't even blips on the horizon yet ..... or if they ever will be.

LMAO. You're post had me burst into a fit of laughter for some reason. Some of the suggestions people make are so ludicrous. I honestly forgot all about Warners saying they were releasing a Glenn Ford set. Do you know which films they own of his??

This is about as silly as those damn Echo Echo Echo threads from a few months back.

They own a ton of Glenn Ford films, including my personal favorite, The Sheepman with Shirley MacLaine.

Corey, Warners has the right to the following Glenn Ford films as yet unreleased on DVD (in region 1 anyway):

A Stolen Life with Bette Davis, The Doctor And The Girl with Janet Leigh, The White Tower with Alida Valli, Young Man With Ideas with Ruth Roman, Terror On A Train with Anne Vernon, Interrupted Melody with Eleanor Parker, Ransom with Donna Reed, Trial with Dorothy McGuire, Fastest Gun Alive with Jeanne Crain, Don't Go Near The Water with Anne Francis, The Sheepman with Shirley MacLaine, Imitation General with Taina Elg, Torpedo Run with Ernest Borgnine, It Started With A Kiss with Debbie Reynolds, The Gazebo wth Debbie Reynolds, Cimarron with Maria Schell, 4 Horsemen Of The Apocalypse with Ingrid Thulin, Advance To The Rear with Stella Stevens, Dear Heart with Geraldine Page, The Rounders with Henry Fonda, The Money Trap with Rita Hayworth, Last Challenge with Angie Dickinson, Day Of The Evil Gun with Arthur Kennedy and Heaven With A Gun with Barbara Hershey.

More than enough for a box set or two, wouldn't you say?

They'd probably repackage Blackboard Jungle in there as well.

Warners doesn't repackage previously released titles in brand new sets.

Wow, they have enough for 4 or 5 sets. I'm sure Cimmaron and Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse are sure bets.

Who says? There is still a possibility. I would hope Harlow would come out this year since they first mentioned almost 2.5 years ago.

Just FYI, if (like me) you’re more interested in a widescreen version of The Candidate than in the commentaries, then you may not need to wait for the SE: the R2 version of The Candidate that was released in France a few months ago is widescreen.
