I hear that. They never do anything straight-up. Can't wait!

I realled liked Lateralus more than their previous albums so if they continue in that direction then I think it will indeed kick ass.

I hope the sound quality remains the same as Lateralus. Excellent for a rock band.

But, according to the link, they're not. They're going in an opposite direction.

I personally don't care. Once a band has earned my respect and what I call "artistic trust" I just like to sit back and let them work their magic, having confidence that they'll step up.

I've read on some Tool sites that some have heard the jams sounding of a Undertow/Lateralus kinda vibe. I have no doubt they will turn out another masterpiece. So a live DVD & a new album most likely within the next year. Great time to be a Tool fan!! [IMG] [IMG]

Lateralus and Anema are two of my favorite albums of all time. I look forward to the new stuff! [IMG]

This reminds me I need to replace Undertow and Opiate (stolen) and pick up the new PC.

    Lateralus isn't heavy and intense?

Lateralus has a lot of lighter moments where they toy with atmosphere, long intros and such, less riff-based.

hopefully the menu is easier to operate than the last one. being mysterious and cool, doesnt translate well to dvd menus. [IMG]
