I purchased a Philips 30 inch CRT back in May. So far I have been pretty happy with it. But ocaisonally I have noticed some strange lines on the screen, the seem to be mainly on the left. They are hard to describe but here it goes. They only appear when the screen is a dark color, but not all the way black, they are most prominent when it is like dark gray. It does not seem to happen when I am watching regular television but ony when watching DVD's hooked through component input. Any advice one could give would be great.

I have two recievers about half a foot under the television in a cabinet, I don't know if this could be a possible cause or not.

Insure the the cables are hooked up right. green to green etc. If it is try a new cable. If that does not work there is problem with the DVD player.
