I just got JBL E-80, EC-35 center and E-30 rear. But my Yamaha HTR-5740 receiver has a rear center inputs. Is this used by any movies or are they mostly for music. It would be neat to have a 6.1 setup, but Im not sure if movies use it.

    Movies use it...

DTS has a real descreet 6.1 format, and DD uses DDEX to provide the content for both 6.1 and 7.1 channels. In DTS 6.1 on a 7.1 system the 6.1 rear channel is duplicated to the two rears.

Movies use it. Do a search for DTS-ES and DD-EX for info. It is essentially a mono channel that is either sent to one (6.1) or two (7.1) speakers by your receiver. It is a matrixed channel in DD and DTS, except for DTS-ES Discrete, in which it is a discrete channel.
