The 6 channel outs can be connected to 6 channel ins of 5.1 ready reciever?

Another thing.. not sure if it's related to this or a CDRW drive..

If I want to record my cds to my hard drive.. how do I do it? Will it sound as good as the CD?

This is all new to me...

6channel out to 6channel in is correct.

you could create an image of a CD on your harddrive... which is an exact replica of the CD itself. But that's only if you copy from cd-rom to hdd.
