i have a HK AVR120 receiver hooked up to my turn table. the left speaker doesn't play as loud and has a buzzing sound. WHY?!! it's not the actual speaker because when i switch them the same thing happens! i'm having enough issues with this home theater thing as it is. i just want to listen to my records! i have the turntable connected to the tape input (no phono and yes i have a pre amp). and i can only get sound out of the left side when i use a surround sound mode (VMA is the only one that works for the turntable right now) what am i doing wrong or is there something else?
    thanks!!

Double check your connections from the player to the pre-amp, pre-amp to the AVR, and if necessary invert (right out to left in) to see if the pre-amp is defective.
