The other day I discovered an issue playing blu-ray discs with a DTS-HD MA Mono 96kHz track. When the HDMI output on my Oppo UDP-203 is set to auto or bitstream, all I get is an incredibly loud/piercing intermittent popping (sounds like this a "DTS bomb" issue with receivers in 2008, but that doesn't seem to be it). Switching the output to LPCM seems to correct it.
I have no issue with playing DTS-HD MA Mono 48kHz tracks or any other DTS-HD with bitstream/auto.
Yamaha support wasn't able to help and my firmware is up-to-date. Is there a setting I need to change on the soundbar in order to handle tracks like this or will I always need to change to the HDMI output to LPCM before playing discs.
Any help would be appreciated!
