I am building a house and thinking of building a 15"/15" opening under my bar area. the sub will be fireing directly 3' behind sitting area. do you think it will sound to boomy? running the wire to the unit does it take rca or rg6? thanks for your help

Remember the sunfire has an active driver on one side, a passive radiator on the opposite side and an amp on the side between the two. Both the amp and the passive radiator should have free air flow around them (the PR needing a lot more than the amp).

Sunfire makes an 'Architectural' line that is intended for mounting like that. No passive radiator, just an active woofer, I think. Not sure if that helps you, you may already own a regular Sunfire sub!

    Cheers,
