I recently purchased a Hughes DirecTV receiver with Tivo from DirecTV. I had problems with some serious audio static problems. DirecTV sent me a new Phillips unit to replace the Hughes.
I am still having static problems. It is very bizarre. I have tried different cables using both sets of outputs and can't cure it. When I first hook up cables the static is gone, but within a couple of minutes you can hear the static again.
I have come to the conclusion that I am picking up interference from somewhere. The static almost sounds cicular almost a pulsating sound.
How can I cure this problem? Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
