While the 3802 has a DDSC-Digital featuring Analog Devices SHARC 32 bit floating point DSP processor, the 2802 has a 24 bit DSP processor. Can anyone help me out and explain what these are or what the difference is? I am planning on using the 2802/3802 as a preamp. Since the 3802 is $400 more it seems that the 2802 would be the way to go. Thoughts?
Thanks in advance,
Manny

I don't know the answer, I also have the same question.
Manny,
looks like we are in the same city. Have you been to progressive audio? they said that they will have Denon 2802 soon. Since I contacted them two weeks ago, I don't know whether it has been arrived or not. if yes, have you demoed the 2802?

I was actually just there this morning. They have 3 on order and expect them sometime this month. Unfortunately their Denon rep was not available to give an exact date
