I usually read USA TODAY and THE WALL STREET JOURNAL
every morning. I bring this up because I am unsure
which paper I recently read an article about a very
exciting new release from Warner Home Video.

It had something to do with the art of film editing.
The documentary takes vlassic and recent films and
sort of dissects them as to how they may have been
altered if not for proper editing. This is at least
the description I understood from the article.

I wrote the title down somewhere but it seemed to
have gotten lost within the pile of paperwork on my
    desk.

If anyone knows of the title, please belt it out.

    Thanks

You may be thinking of "The Cutting Edge: The Magic of Movie Editing." Here's Amazon's entry for it: http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg...v=glance&s=dvd

I believe it is the same doc that was featured on the 2-disc Bullitt SE from earlier this year. I'm actually pretty interested in it myself.

    Hope that helps.

    Ronbo,
I think they're talking about the documentary "The Cutting Edge" which was featured on the "Bullitt" dvd which was released earlier this summer. Just recently, it was released separately on its own dvd.

    That's great...

It means I already have it on DVD.

It got a great write-up in the paper and I am
    very eager to see it.

I think it's one of the best documentaries about film-making. The documentary use to play on either Starz or Encore channels a while back and I'm glad Warner decided to release it on dvd.

I've viewed it on Disc 2 of the Bullitt SE, and it is indeed an excellent and informative documentary on the art of editing.
