Hello everybody in the forums.
I just signed up and I thought maybe a few of the wiz's on home theater can help me out.
I recently bought a new receiver and it's the Harmon Kardon (AVR 247)
I have 7 speakers in my possesion and want to hook up 7.1 for my receiver which it supports.
I also have 2 set of speakers one has audio inputs (red and white plugs) as well as regular speaker wire hook up.
I tried hooking them all up and yet I still don't get the choice of selecting 7.1. There is also a auto feature on the feature that will run and detect speakers.
So I selected 5.1 just to see if it tests and the front speakers test fine and when it gets to the back speakers it cancels the test. The back left speaker is the one with the audio inputs.
Any suggestions on what I should do and how to continue to get 7.1?
If you need anything else from me in terms of details etc please let me know and I will respond ASAP.
I want to thank you again for anybody that is helping me with this problem I am having and look forward to your responses.
