I can’t believe that Sony’s top model OLED TV has this problem, which I only just learned of when reading this review. https://www.rtings.com/tv/tools/compare/sony-a95k-oled-vs-sony-a95l-oled/31217/39009

It shows the supposedly “new and improved” A95L scoring worse than the A95K on this parameter.

Until I read this review I didn’t even know that stuttering over low frame rate content was a problem with any OLED TVs!!

How will this impact the A95L’s DVD performance? This is critically important as many of my favorite movie titles and TV shows in my large collection, on DVD for years, have next to no chance of ever being issued on BD. And I have no plans to subscribe to any streaming service as an alternate source.

I also have numerous Youtube downloads, of either 720p, 420p-and early ones at 240-that I would also want to view on this TV occasionally.

I had planned to buy the A95L this week. But if it’s likely going to stutter on any of this content please suggest the next best Sony OLED model that won’t. However, the TV's 4K performance is irrelevant as I only play 2K BDs and DVDs from my collection and those I borrow from local public libraries.

What's very bad now is that the best such 65” model (s) may no longer be available at Best Buy, PC Richard, Wal-Mart, Target, Microcenter or other retailers in the New York area.

I would order said models from online stores but they MUST be authorized Sony retailers or I will not be able the redeem my $1200.00 in Sony Card points-and the sale must be made before December 31st!

Please advise ASAP.

DVD play is through HDMI connection to whatever player u use.
YouTube is thru network as well as the WiFi/network module in your TV system.
if YouTube videos play with stutters, it's likely to be due to system hardware conflict with YouTube codec.

i'm still scratching my head over what RTINGs review claimed to be...

@cineescape , You will love Sony's Flagship A95L Master Series QD OLED TV!

Sony's A95L is Sony's only Master Series OLED TV and it's also Sony's only QD OLED so the A95L is the very best TV from Sony. Sony's New 2nd Generation of the XR Processor is very nicely enhanced for low resolution and low bit rate content and the new Contrast Enhancer.

The other concern is QD-OLED longevity. According to rtings.com’s ongoing longevity tests Sony OLEDs tend to degenerate even quicker than LG OLEDs-and the A95K QD-OLED variant quicker still, which is also why I thought of choosing the A80L WOLED.

every TVs, irregardless of any panel tech type, OLED or LED/miniLED backlight, needs to be tuned to blend and fit into your viewing environment. majority of the TVs sold in the market would roll off factories with "high performance" or "vibrant" configurations that would have contrast and brightness tuned to high level, that drives up temperatures that would cause burn screen effect, especially OLEDs.
QD-OLED is just typical OLED with Quantum Dot panel layer to diffuse lights to wider color gamut. the most important tech is how heat is diffused faster such that burning of pixels can be minimized.
RTING's test is continuous operation in a single run right? and the test mostly falls on news channel with running news flash banner with static bright news channel logo right? wouldn't those factors burn screens faster?

anyway... should you're concerned about longevity of OLED TVs, for the ease of mind, forget about it. OLED is not for you. miniLED TVs is better on brightness and contrast, so as colors if you choose those with Quantum Dot layers as well as dimming zones.
