    Good afternoon:

    I own a Toshiba Projection TV, model # 50G90. I bought
it "used" about 8 months ago. I suspect the model was
    "new" in 1997.

The power indicator light on the TV's front panel has
suddenly begun to flash. The TV will not operate either.
Nothing happens when I press the power button on the TV
    or the remote control.

I cannot find any reference to a flashing power indicator
in the TV's owner's manual. Can any forum members help
with a diagnosis and corrective steps?

    Thank you,

    David

Leave it unplug for a couple of minutes and then plug it back and try it.

    Hi Juan,

Thanks for responding. I tried your suggestion yesterday. I let the TV sit unplugged for about 2 hours. After putting the plug in the electrical socket and pushing the power button the set operated normally for about 5 minutes; then the screen went dark and the power indicator began to flash. The power indicator is still flashing. I will try your suggestion again to see what happens.

Sadly, I'd guess that something has gone wrong to trip a safety shutdown. There's probably nothing you personally can do except to call a repairman.
