I have just completed my theater and have a Screenplay projector hanging from the ceiling over my seating. It is great, but during quiet parts of movies, the fan noise is distracting. I need advice on building a somewhat soundproof enclosure realizing I will have to vent the projector to keep it cool. What materials work best? Any plans or prefab enclosures on the market?

Search for hushbox on the various projection forums at AVS. basically you want an enclosure around your projector with sufficient airflow venting out of the box, and often line the box in some acoustical foam or something to help, it can make a big difference. If you want it completely sealed, you can get glass for the front, and have air input and output. It should be relatively easy for you to build a small hushbox for your digital projector

Here is one of many ideas, this was just one for a CRT that I had a quick link to. Run some searches you'll get tons of ideas.
