HELP:Taking DVD StillS From An iMac can it be done?? (1 Viewer)

Really need to take some stills from my dvd's but cannot figure it out.

I have tried taking a screen capture but it doesnt stay on the screen unless the dvd is in that spot.
please help

On a Mac, you either need to rip the DVD to MPEG and snap the pic or purchase SnapzPro shareware which lets you do this and much more with a Nvidia video card.
Apple and ATI have built in copy protection to prevent this by using an overlay. The vid signal is relayed directly to the monitor and cannot be captured.
Note: You need a Nvidia vid card to use SnapzPro's DVD screenshot feature. Therefore, your only option with an iMac is to rip the DVD to MPEG video and capture that.
