I just got my xbox 360.... I have it plug into Denon AV 4806 receiver that goes to my Infocus 7210 projector....I know its a high definition projector capable up to 1080 dpi...

Yet when I load up the Xbox 360 it goes down to 480 DPI.... any of you all get the xbox 360 to go the higher end of high def levels (720 or 1080 DPI?)? Is 480 DPI still high def????

Thanks.... I know this is a technical question...

I do that and try selecting either 720 or 1080 and it comes back at 480. Something in the Xbox 360 is still not accepting the higher levels.

Are you able to get it accept 1080??

Thanks

On the video cable that plugs into the back of the XBOX, did you select HDTV instead of TV? It has a switch on the side of the housing to select HDTV.

And no, your TV should be saying 1080i or 720p - whatever you select.

Did you get the Premium (white box) or the Core (green box) system. The Premium comes with component video cables, which as CRyan noted, has a swtich that lets you select HDTV. I believe the Core system comes with regular AV cables.

btw. those numbers dont refer to "DPI" or Dots per inch. They refer to pixel count.
