help recording pro logic JVC HR-S9600U (1 Viewer)

Hi Everyone-

I have my JVC HR-S9600U VCR hooked up to the Denon 3801 Receiver and RCA DTC 100 Satellite receiver. When I record programs that are broadcast in dolby surround it only plays back in stereo through the front speakers only. Please let me know what I need to do.

switch your a/v receiver to the DPL mode. it is not the source, it is the device decoding the audio.
