HELP - Problems with my 51SWX20B (1 Viewer)

Just picked up a Hitachi 51SWX20B over the weekend. So far, I am kind of disappointed. I put it through the Video Essentials calibration on the 2nd day, and then watched Moulin Rouge last night. The red color still seems way to strong and there was a lot of pixelation and other artifacts. Does it need a more professional tune-up? Is the problem that I am using my XBOX as a DVD player (with component cables)? I am picking up a progressive scan DVD player today but had also read about some issues with using such a DVD player with this TV

There are colour decoder parameters in the service menu that can help you to tame your reds.

Some of this information can be found at the keohihdtv site as well as at the AVscience site.

It's the TV and not the DVD player in general.
