Help on VCR connection! (1 Viewer)

I'm hoping for some assistance on my newly installed HT system. Everything is working fine except my VCR. It will play tapes but won't record anything from my DSS. Here are my hookups:

a. VCR S-video output into rcvr (yamaha 5550) VCR-IN
VCR S-video input into rcvr VCR-out

b. The DSS rcvr is S-video into rcvr

Hmmm, sounds OK.

When you're trying to record off DSS, remember these two things...they may help:

1.Make sure your VCR is set to record from whatever its S-VIDEO input is called (perhaps LINE1).

2. Your receiver may need to remain on its DSS input setting (your VCR will record from whatever the current receiver input is set at).

Other than that, I can't think of too much else at the moment.
