    Hi

    I have a Yamaha HTR 5780 and Bose 5.1 Speakers
    Iam not getting gud surrond sound out of this. The speakers are not working if i connect them to surround back option in the

    reciever
    Any idea ??

    Yes, with only five speakers, you should not be connecting the surrounds to the surround "back" channels on the receiver. This is used when you are connecting two additional speakers in a 7.1 configuration. You should be connecting to the "surround" channels.
    You should ensure that your speakers are calibrated using your receivers test tones so that the levels are the same, and with Bose, sometimes no matter what you do, they will still sound bad. You've stepped into a forum where the more you learn, the more you will see how Bose are regarded.
