Help needed with Soundblaster Live 5.1 MP3 (1 Viewer)

I'm having a problem with the software that came with the above card. The Playcenter that came with the card no longer recognizes audio cd's when I put them in my computer. This is strange because my Windows Media player is still capable of playing cd's . I have the playcenter as my default player but no luck. I have tried creative's tech support website to no avail. I have also called their (toll charged!) tech support number but the help I've been given has been bogus. This last time I called they told me to download new drivers but their website says there are no drivers available for my card. I've tried emailing their tech support twice but have gotten no answer back. Does anyone else have this card and might no what the problem is?

If you did the full install of Soundblaster software you should notice in the control panel an icon for a program called disc detector. Make sure this is set to detect your discs. If it is not it may cause Playcenter to not recognize the Audio cd's.

Thank you Romier but I've already tried that. I've even uninstalled and reinstalled the soundcard and player.
