    Dear fellow HTF computer gurus,

I am in a web design class and I am trying to create a form that submits your name, email, and message to a certain location (my email). here's what it looks like without the CGI and minus descriptions:

    http://unixgen.muohio.edu/~corsilcj/tcontact.html

How can I get this thing to work...I'd like it to display a "your message has been sent" window as well.

    thanks!!

Chuck - I've got PHP code that does this. I can send it to you if you want.

I use it for my feedback form. You type in your name, etc and it it emails me the message. It also displays a "Mail sent" message after you submit it.

Thats a pretty basic beginner project. Search online for web forms and perl or php code. I never had a class but just had to do it for something quick at work. It was pretty easy to find references online that'll give you a sample. Once you learn how to interact with one text field and do something with the submmitted data everything else works basically the same.

Its a lot more rewarding when you figure it out since you are still in class instead of just getting someone to give you the code [IMG]
