I am looking for a “Leadership”& “Business” type books to read. I have read several biographies, some leadership books, and business types. I am looking for some more to read.

Some that I have read include:

Donald Trump’s How to get rich, The Art of the Deal, and The Art of the Come Back.
    Rudy Giuliani – Leadership
    Leadership – Sopranos style
7 Habits of Highly Effective People
    and many others

Can you guys give me some more recommendations?

    Thanks

If you're planning a career in Line Management, I would suggest you pick up Images of Organization (Gareth Morgan, 1997). It's not about management theory but organizational theory, and it will come in handy if you want to understand your employees! [IMG]

The Bible of the business world, a foundation from which to build everything else. Old but a classic still in publication as it never loses its luster, Dale Carnegie's, How To Win Friends and Influence People. If you want to lead your workers, gain their respect and loyalty, and network, this is the baseline from which to start.

    I will second:

How to Win Friends and Influence People
The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People

    And I will add:

The Goal - Eliyahu M Goldratt - A great book on Manufacturing, and extremely easy to read.

Emotional Intelligence - Daniel Goleman - It's not how smart you are, but how you conduct yourself and how you apply yourself.

The Leadership Challenge, Kouzes and Posner - A good read.

Strategy: Tee Logic of War and Peace - Edward Luttwak - More of a war book obviously, but the book causes you to think in a different way, it really challenges your assumptions of what is the best way.

    And of course:

    The Dilbert Principle
    The Dilbert Future

Great reads, make sure you don't take yourself too seriously, that's what you can get from these books.

Anything by John Maxwell is worth a read...

-The 21 Indispensible Qualities of a Leader
-The 17 Indisputable Laws of Teamwork

I would also recommend Michael Gerber's book:

    -The E-Myth Revisited

    Hope these help!
