Help! Need new DVD player... (1 Viewer)

It appears as though my player is on its last legs. I'm looking for a solid performer in the $250-$350 range. Anyone have any suggestions?

Check out the JVC 70BK/75GD series for single disc. Also the Toshiba 4700/5700. Any of these players are quite feature packed for the money with Progressive, DVD-Audio, Aspect Ratio Control, etc. The 5700 throws in HDCD decoding.

The current Sound & Vision has a review on the 4700 and Home Theater, I believe, has the 5700 write-up. I haven't seen any print on the JVC's except for the good write-up by Sound & Vision on the 60BK which lacks the DVD-Audio of it's big brother. While I personally like the Tosh's, I own and love the 70BK.
