Help!! Need help on amp purchase!! (1 Viewer)

I just received $700 tonite from selling a used tv and have been contemplating purchasing an amp to power my nht super ones and super center. I have super zero's as my surrounds and will probably add a rear center speaker sometime soon.
I do not have any friends that have an amp nor do I have any experience with one. My centerpiece receiver is a Yamaha rxv1000 and it goes into protection mode when I want to turn the volume up loud. The speakers are all 8ohm and the receiver is set on 8 ohms. The speakers are connected with 12 gauge AR speaker wire with AR screw on banana plugs.
Suggestions on a decent amp that I can use for years of service?? I probably could go up to a grand in price.
