Help! My darn computer won't play sound, at all! (1 Viewer)

I can hear it very fainty when I lean my ear to the speaker (it's a laptop) and when I put on headphones, the same thing, the music is faint. But it's really low. The volume is all the way up, what could be going wrong? Is there a setting that I'm not aware of? Anyone else have this problem?

Is there a volume dial on the side? Check that. If not, check the windows volume slider

Neither worked. There's not a switch on the side... and the slider didn't help. According to everything, my volume is completely up.

It did this once about a couple of months ago, and then it just appeared to fix itself. I figured it was over...

Check the advanced controls...make sure that your volume sliders for Wave, CD, etc are also turned up enough.
