I am trying to decide between these three models and unfortunately price is a consideration. Is there much picture difference between the 411 and 311 models ? Should I go with a bigger screen in the WS65311 and sacrifice some picture quality to get the bigger size or would I be better to stick with a WS55411 and have better picture quality.
I will be sitting about 15 feet away from the TV.

    Thanks for your help.

I recently got the WS55411, they charged me $100 over the 311. I got it fpr $2278. It has a 5 element lense instead of the 4 in the 311. Also 6" speakers compared to 5". Some othe goodies including quad focus.

I am having the 55411 delivered on Saturday. I also looked at the 311 and 511. The 411 was the only one out of the three with the quadfield focus. It was $200 more than the 311 where I bought it. If you are spending that much spend the extra 2 and get the 411. I paid $2599, the cheapest I could find it in my area.

I had the 65411 for about 24 hours and traded it for a 55411. Even though my wife looked at it in the showroom, the 65" model was too big for what she had planned for the living room. I even thought it was big but not too big. If you have to deal with the WAF, make a cardboard box the size of the 65" and see what she thinks.

Now the picture on the 55411 is outstanding. I can see compression artifacts on a lot of the DirecTV channels but I can live with them. Locals over DirecTV look really good but I'm lucky that the Memphis stations aren't heavily compressed. Local HD is near perfect, the only exception is the red push.

Craig, go with the bigger size.
Robert, the new Mits eliminated the red push so that should not be a problem. AT least not as bad as last years WS-65819. The 411 is an awesome set.

Red push is still there for this year's models, but not as drastic. The interlaced inputs are adjustaable, but that doesn't apply to the Progressive input or HD input. calibrations on these sets so far are pretty sparse, and the general guess is that they will need an I2C fix or the use of an attenuator on the red input. I have a 55311 and love it. The wife is finally coming around to really enjoy it, also!!
