Just bought a new Denon 1803

BUt im still playing around with setting up the speakers, and have searched all the forums but still dont know what to do with the centre speaker.

I have the Sub Woofer cross over at 80 hz.

    I have the following speakers-

    Front - Jamo X series 40 Hz-20000
    Centre- Jamo X5Cen 60HZ-20000
    Rear- Yamaha - 75 Hz-20000
    SUB - RP Acoustics - 35 HZ- 130

    Now my question.

I have front to 'Large', rear set to 'Small'....Shall i set the Centre to 'Small' OR 'Large' as it only goes down to 60 Hz. Is it worth putting it to small and let the SUB handle bass under 80Hz for the centre?

WHat would you set your speakers to in my case??

    Thanks for your help

    darren_b,

Set your center channel speaker to "small".

In a much different set up (mainly high efficiency decent full range all around) I have set all speakers to small - If your sub is a good performer, it will be the best way to go, especially looking at your speaker specs..

Just my 2 cents. I have a 1603 same thing except 5.1 vs 6.1. I have Definative Tech DR7 in front (don't go as low as Jamos probably) and a C2 Center. I have my speakers all set to small. Setting to large seemed to overload the fronts on DVDs. Unless you have real boomer speakers or something lik a Def. Tech with a built in sub I'd set em to small.
