Help me with 32" - 34" direct view CRT. (1 Viewer)

Ok, due to the WAF, my gear and TV must fit in an Amour(sp) cabinet. This limits my TV cabinet size to no more then 37".

My DVD player is currently a Denon2900, so component hook-up only for now.

Due to my size limitations (and the fact that I don't need the space savings of a Plasma), I'm focusing my search towards a CRT direct view set. Initially, I had my hopes set on the Sony 34XBR960. But I measured the cabinet at the local BB and it came in a 39"...rats.

Now I'm looking at the Toshiba 34HFX84. If you look at the diminsions listed on their website, it lists the cabinet(?) width at 33 5/8. Is this possible because the 34" screen is measured diagonally?

Anyway, anyone have this set and could measure the cabinet for me?

Any know pros or cons of this particular set? I currently own a 32" 4:3 analog Toshiba that has been a great set for me for many years.

Any other recommendations based on my limited screen size.
