Curious,

In as much as you're having the room built and prewired, want something to blend in and not stand on the floor, why would you not look at "in walls"?

I just purchased M&K "K" Series and I think they sound great. I did not use their sub, I have an older Velodyne, but they still blend very well. Here's a link:

They have a couple of different colors as well.

Good luck

If I were going for that look I would do all in wall speakers, and then find a good place to hide an SVS sub in the "ice white" finish. That is about the cleanest look you could create, and most likely the one with the highest WAF.

JBL STUDIO™ SERIES – S36AWII
3-Way, 6-Inch Vertical/Horizontal, Mirror-Image, Wall-Mountable, Weather-Resistant Bookshelf Speaker

JBL S36AWII - White finish

JBL S36IIPM** - Metallic-silver finish

**From 5 September 03 dba newsline - Studio Series Mark II S36IIPM Loudspeaker: Designed to Perfectly Complement Plasma Monitors
when paired with a compatible JBL powered subwoofer, such as the S120PII.

The JBL Studio Series Mark II S36IIPM carries a suggested retail price of $499 per pair.
For a sub, I also recommend any SVS subwoofers.
