Help me Choose the Right DVD Player Please! (1 Viewer)

I've ordered almost everything I need already and the only thing I am missing is a DVD player, I am having trouble selecting between the S77 and the Oppo, and if I'm going to get the S77, is it worth it to just get the S97? Any suggestions as to what DVD player I should buy that is compatible with my setup and would work great? Any suggestions/comments/ideas welcome

My Options for DVD Player

Panasonic DVD S77S ($215)
Panasonic DVD S97S ($240)
Oppo Digital OPDV971H Hd-Ready Upconverting DVD Player ($200)

I just got the Oppo and couldn't be happier. Great value and awesome performance.

I have the S77 and am very happy. The only advantage to the S97 is SACD I think.

The S97 does not do SACD.

Good question about which dvd player to try. I am looking at these players too.

The Panny 900 has HDMI input so it would be kinda nice to have HDMI to HDMI from either of the Panny S77 or S97, and the OPPO is DVI. Easy to use a cable DVI-HDMI or an adapter, but some say the HDMI is nicer. People sure like the OPPO too, especially with its support and firmware upgrades.

I don't think you can go terribly wrong with either of these players, so I say give roll the dice and just give one of them a try
