This isnt my Main HT setup, its my computer room setup, its placed in a very small room 9'x10', mostly i just play games and sometimes (but very rarely) i watch movies. I was using a Sony SA-WX700 with good results, but the amp on it just died. I dont want to spend more than $300 on it (cheaper the better), as the sony did fine for 5 years with costing $200, but im not sure i wanna go back to sony with this amp dying on me.

This are the Subs im considering (but im open to other suggestions),

Velodyne Impact-12 12-Inch Powered Subwoofer $299
JBL ES250PBK 400 Watt Powered 12" Subwoofer $305
JBL ES150PBK 300 Watt Powered 10" Subwoofer $229
Sony SA-W3000 Performance Line 12" 180-Watt Subwoofer $125
Sony SA-W3800 Performance Line 15" 200-Watt Subwoofer $187

Thanks for any advice, comments or suggestions.

In that small of a room, I would go for either the 10" JBL or 12" Sony.

Other subs that would be good for gaming.....

Cerwin-Vega's subs don't go quite as low - relatively speaking - as other brands' similar-sized models but at their price point there's always compromises.* What they do have is volume of bass and quite good sound quality (to my ears Sony's subs are not as capable as far as volume, but for their price sound good and go low).

CV's dual 8" VE-28S would be a good match I think for your situation. And this sub's thin/tall profile might make it easier to place next to your computer.

I've auditioned MTX's $200 SW2 12" sub at Circuit City several times with my own CDs and movies and I thought it was designed similarly to CV's subs. And for a black box, I thought it looked pretty good.

* good sound quality AND volume AND depth of bass = $$$
