I am selling my current RCA 52 inch rear projection and buying something with better picture quality. I am looking to spend about $2500 canadian give or take a bit. I dont want to waste my money with plasma because its not the most important thing for me to be able to wall mount it. I was looking into rear projection DLP. Any Ideas? Also I live in Calgary so if you can recomend a specific place to purchase the TV. Thanks alot guys!

Have you at least demo'd some DLP sets????

52" Current Display is HD? 16:9 or 4:3?

If it is a 4:3, I would not go with less than a 60" to replace it.

Im not familure with Canadian pricing / availability at all.

    Decent enough choice...

I respect you for being able to go down in screen size.

That is something I could never do myself.

    Greetings

At the $2500 CDN level ... you are looking at Toshiba 44" DLP which sells for same price right now ...

Can also get Sony LCD 42" for similar price and 43" Panasonic LCD for $2400 range.

You generally won't get a Samsung at that price level ... but their 46" is at $3000 range.

The usual suspects like Future Shop and BB and A&B Sound all have sets in this range.

    Regards
